Rylan Clark, 37, has spoken candidly for the first time about the fallout from his marriage to Dan Neal, revealing the emotional toll of confessing his infidelity. The revelation led to the breakdown of their six-year marriage in 2021, leaving Rylan grappling with guilt, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.

Speaking on The Assembly, Rylan admitted: “It made me so ill… but I’m glad it happened. I needed to face the truth, and I don’t deal well with secrets.” He described the heartbreak as like having the “rug pulled from under you,” forcing him to move back in with his mum to escape painful memories.

Now, Rylan is embracing a brighter chapter with boyfriend Kennedy Bates, sharing sun-soaked snaps from the Maldives and describing their time together as “perfect… new year, new friends, new beginnings.” He added with a laugh: “When I first started dating Kennedy, my mum said he’s handsome… and he really is!”

Reflecting on his journey, Rylan explained that while his past mistakes were painful, they helped him grow: “I’m my own person now. I’m not going to settle for something that’s not right. In a way, it’s been a gift.”
From heartbreak to healing, Rylan’s story is one of resilience, honesty, and discovering love again – proving that even after the darkest chapters, new beginnings are possible.
