“I Found It Incredibly Rude” Vogue Williams Explains Why She Cut Ties With Ex Brian McFadden After Wedding Snub

Vogue Williams has opened up about the real reason she cut off contact with her ex-husband Brian McFadden, revealing that a long-buried tension resurfaced after she was not invited to his wedding last summer.

The TV and podcast star, 40, who is now happily married to Spencer Matthews and expecting their fourth child, was previously married to Westlife singer Brian McFadden from 2012 to 2017.

Brian went on to marry his partner Danielle Parkinson in a romantic ceremony after eight years together, with family and friends — including his daughters — in attendance. But one notable absence, according to Vogue, was herself.

Speaking candidly on her podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, Vogue didn’t hold back as she reflected on the decision to end all contact.

“He did not invite me to his new wedding,” she said. “I did find that incredibly rude that he didn’t invite me, actually, and that is why we don’t talk.”

In her typically blunt and humorous style, she even joked that she would have attended under one condition: “I’d be booting him down the aisle. He’s your problem now, my friend!”

The admission sheds new light on a relationship that has remained complicated long after their divorce. Vogue and Brian share no children together, but their past marriage — which she has previously described as a difficult chapter — has continued to attract public interest.

Since their split, Vogue has worked to rebuild her public identity, becoming a popular presenter and podcaster alongside her marriage to former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, with whom she shares three children and another on the way.

Sources have previously suggested that Vogue has deliberately distanced herself from her past with Brian, preferring not to be defined as “his ex-wife.” She has also spoken openly in the past about struggling with anxiety during their relationship, even calling the marriage a “mistake” in her autobiography.

Meanwhile, Brian McFadden has also moved on with his life, marrying Danielle Parkinson and welcoming a daughter together. He also shares two daughters, Lilly-Sue and Molly, with his first wife Kerry Katona.

Despite both having built new families and separate lives, Vogue’s latest comments show that some wounds from the past still linger — especially when it comes to respect, boundaries, and unfinished emotions.

For Vogue, at least, the message is clear: certain chapters are firmly closed — even if the headlines keep reopening them.
