Princess Andre has opened up about the emotional impact of growing up in the spotlight, revealing how her mother Katie Price’s turbulent love life has shaped her outlook on relationships.
In a candid reflection from her reality series The Princess Diaries, the 18-year-old admitted she has become cautious when it comes to trust and romance after witnessing years of public breakups and headlines surrounding her family.
“I’ve seen first-hand what heartbreak can look like,” Princess said. “My mum is the prime example of it.”
She explained that watching her mother go through multiple relationships and emotional setbacks from a young age has left her more guarded in her own personal life.
“Because of that, my guard is up,” she added, while also noting that her father Peter Andre and stepmother Emily MacDonagh have given her a different perspective.
Seeing their long-term relationship, she said, has reassured her that stable and lasting love “does exist”, offering a contrast to what she grew up witnessing.
“Watching my dad and Emily has shown me that true love can work,” she said.
Despite her cautious approach, Princess stressed she tries not to live in fear when it comes to people and relationships, explaining that she is “switched on” and unafraid to speak up if something doesn’t feel right.
She revealed she often trusts her instincts, even when it comes to her parents’ social circles, saying she has no hesitation in expressing concerns if she feels uneasy about someone.
“I tell them if I don’t like someone,” she said. “You have to be aware, but you can’t live thinking everyone is out to hurt you.”
The teenager also reflected on how growing up with constant media attention around her family has made her more observant and protective of those close to her.
Her comments come amid ongoing public interest in Katie Price’s personal life, including her recent whirlwind marriage to Lee Andrews and renewed media scrutiny surrounding the relationship.
Princess, however, has previously shown a willingness to step in privately when she feels concerned, reportedly even helping facilitate conversations involving her mother’s relationships.
Despite the family challenges, she made it clear that her priority remains love and respect for her parents, regardless of public opinion.
“She’s my mum,” she said. “At the end of the day, if she’s happy, I’m happy.”
Fans have praised Princess for her maturity and honesty, with many noting how she continues to navigate fame, family, and personal growth while still so young 💔
