Loose Women star Katie Piper, 42, left her co-panellists gobsmacked this week when she confessed to sunbathing naked in her garden during the UK heatwave.
During Wednesday’s episode of the ITV1 show, Katie revealed that the soaring temperatures had her shedding her clothes as soon as she got home. “I can’t wait for this show to finish, I’m gonna get home, get all my clothes off and get in the back garden,” she admitted.
Coleen Nolan was visibly stunned. “Naked?” she asked, to which Katie replied: “Yes, absolutely!”
Katie explained she takes precautions, wearing a sun hat to protect her face while enjoying the sun. Fellow panellist Christine Lampard laughed, noting the importance of sun safety, while Jane Moore joked about the possibility of drones flying overhead. Katie reassured the panel, adding: “I think in your own garden, you can lay on your cushions or your sun lounger or on the grass.”
The conversation sparked memories from Coleen, who recounted a topless sunbathing moment on holiday in Turkey back in the late 80s. Christine quipped that summer was the perfect time to go nude, prompting laughter around the table.
