Strictly Come Dancing favourites Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu are trading the glittery ballroom for a night on the sofa as they join the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox.
Best known for their show-stopping routines on Strictly, the duo will be taking a break from lifts and spins to share their take on the week’s biggest TV moments—armed with mini pretzels, sweet-and-salty popcorn, and a rainbow of melons for snacking.

Carlos couldn’t resist joking about Amy’s sweet choices, quipping: “Too much sugar, it ages you! You don’t want to be aged by sugar!”
Amy admitted she loved the change of pace: “Celebrity Gogglebox was fab-u-lous! I’m so used to being on my feet performing—it was such a treat to sit back, laugh, and react to all those brilliant shows. It was wonderful to share those genuine, feel-good moments with Carlos and everyone watching at home.”
Carlos added: “I had the best time—honestly, so much fun! I’m very expressive anyway, so watching TV is perfect for me. It felt like me and Amy were having our own little party on the sofa!”
The pair join a star-studded line-up including Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally, Olivia Atwood and her mum, and Gladiators legends Matthew Morsia and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey. Content creators George Clark and Max Balegde will also bring the laughs, alongside comedian Julian Clary and actor-presenter Nigel Havers.
Away from Gogglebox, Amy and Carlos are touring with their live show, Amy and Carlos: Reborn, and are set to return to the next Strictly series following the recent professional dancer lineup changes.
Carlos summed up their passion for dance: “It’s our life! For us, being a dancer isn’t just work—it’s everything. We put our heart and soul into it, and it’s more than a job; it’s who we are.”
