BBC Breakfast legend Carol Kirkwood, who usually delivers weather updates during the Championships, won’t be appearing after stepping down in April following an incredible 28-year career. Carol decided to focus on her marriage and travel adventures, leaving fans missing her sunny updates.
During Monday’s early morning coverage, Isa Guha warmly paid tribute:
“This is usually the moment we hear from Carol Kirkwood with the British weather update… after 28 years on BBC Breakfast, Carol has moved on. We wish her all the best – hopefully she’s got her feet up with a cup of tea enjoying Wimbledon!”
