Emmerdale Star Lawrence Robb Shares the Sweet Reason He Calls Girlfriend Pamela Blair “A Keeper”

Life may be full of chaos for Mackenzie Boyd in Emmerdale, but off screen, actor Lawrence Robb appears to have found a much calmer and happier chapter.

The 34-year-old Scottish actor has become one of the ITV soap’s most recognisable faces since joining the cast in 2020. Over the years, his character has been caught up in countless dramatic storylines, from family heartbreak and complicated romances to life-threatening confrontations. While Mackenzie continues to face turmoil in the fictional village, Lawrence’s personal life tells a very different story.

A Private Romance Away From the Spotlight

Unlike many television stars, Lawrence has chosen to keep his relationship with musical theatre performer Pamela Blair largely out of the public eye.

Speculation about the pair first emerged in 2024 after fans noticed Pamela appearing in the background of Lawrence’s holiday photos from Antigua. Although neither spoke publicly at the time, the rumours gathered momentum before they eventually stepped out together at the BAFTA Scotland Awards, confirming they were a couple.

Since then, they have continued to enjoy a relatively low-profile relationship, only occasionally giving fans a glimpse into their life together.

The Story That Left Fans Smiling

One of those rare moments came during an appearance on Lorraine in 2025, when Lawrence shared a story that quickly won over viewers.

Ahead of the live interview, the actor realised he had accidentally left behind the clothes he had planned to wear on the programme. Rather than panic, Pamela stepped in to save the day.

According to Lawrence, she turned the car around, rushed back home to collect the outfit and then travelled across London to deliver it before the interview began.

Clearly grateful for the effort, he affectionately praised her on air.

“My gorgeous girlfriend went all the way back home, grabbed my clothes and made it here just in time. She’s a keeper.”

The light-hearted moment gave fans an unusual glimpse into their relationship and highlighted the thoughtful support they share behind the scenes.

Pamela Has Built an Impressive Career of Her Own

While many viewers know Pamela because of her relationship with Lawrence, she has established a successful career in theatre in her own right.

She is currently performing in the West End production of The Devil Wears Prada at London’s Dominion Theatre, appearing alongside actress Vanessa Williams.

Her stage career also includes performances in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, Cinderella, 42nd Street and Curtains. Beyond theatre, she has appeared in the film Tomorrow Morning and featured in televised performances including the BBC Proms and the Olivier Awards.

A New Chapter

Before beginning his relationship with Pamela, Lawrence was previously linked to actress, writer and director Joanne Thomson. Their relationship remained mostly private before they eventually went their separate ways.

Today, Lawrence seems content to keep his personal life away from the headlines, but the occasional stories he shares reveal a relationship built on kindness, humour and mutual support.

As Mackenzie Boyd continues to navigate heartbreak, betrayal and fresh drama in Emmerdale, Lawrence appears to be enjoying something much simpler away from the cameras—a relationship that, in his own words, has found someone who is truly “a keeper.”
