K. Michelle clapped back at Shamea Morton for accusing her of “jumping ship” and “choosing teams” in a recent interview for Watch What Happens Live. Michelle denied that she was “fall[ing] in line,” and she called Shamea a “so-called friend.”
In the new season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, Michelle initially defended Shamea as several co-stars questioned her continuously. But recently, the singer reportedly unfollowed Shamea on Instagram, as some fans believe Michelle chose to turn against her so she would be in better standing with the rest of the cast.
On July 19, Michelle reacted to Shamea’s WWHL interview, where she claimed Michelle jumped ship and chose teams (after previously claiming that’s not what she stands for).
“Definitely no advice needed from u on being a friend,” wrote Michelle on X. “Me not messing with u has NOTHING to do with jumping ship. And you know this. I have the same friends I’ve had all season.”
“The difference now is I don’t have to sit around & defend you all day,” Michelle added. “Dead that narrative now about teams cause u know thatS NOT whats happening.”
In another post, Michelle denied that she was “fall[ing] in line” with the other castmates.
“Girl I just watched what was said. This [is] The THIRD interview where she’s trying to get ahead of it and start the narrative that I’m jumping ship or switching teams, when she knows everything I’ve dealt with with her and what happened. I don’t fall in line,” she wrote. “I can think for myself. I’m fair. I don’t deal with her cause of HER. Not cool 4 a so called friend.”
Around the same time, Michelle suggested that Shamea is “scared” about “what I might tell.”
“Don’t play coward games now! You ain’t gone shift a narrative on me. Your THIRD time trying and speaking on me. U scared about what I might tell. Tell ’em why I don’t mess with u. Does the walfdorf ring a bell 🛎️ 😉,” she wrote in a cryptic post. “I’m loyal until I’m not. See you can’t play fake victim with me. I know to much.”
