Coronation Street‘s Cassie Plummer will expose Ross Wilkes’ dark past next week, ahead of her upcoming exit. Fed up with seeing him play happy families, Cassie finally reveals the truth about how Tyrone was conceived. But how will her loved ones react?
When Tyrone’s biological dad Ross first arrived on the cobbles, it was clear there was no love lost between him and Cassie. Ross quickly began blackmailing her, in order to worm his way into Tyrone’s life.
Since then, Cassie has reluctantly bitten her tongue about Ross, with Tyrone and the whole Dobbs family getting closer to the nasty newcomer. But in upcoming scenes, she finally decides to expose Ross in front of everyone.
A newly-released spoiler clip for Wednesday’s episode sees the family celebrating Ross’ birthday at the house, including his new girlfriend Tracy Barlow. Steve and Cassie watch in disgust as they sing happy birthday and present him with a cake.
Ross laps up the attention, giving a speech about how grateful he is to have found his family after all these years. But Cassie interjects, branding him “the sleaziest” man in the world.
After ushering the kids upstairs, Cassie decides she’s kept her mouth shut for “long enough” and lets loose on her dark history with Ross.
“You know this ‘real man’? He didn’t cop off with me. It wasn’t a one-night stand. I was a 15-year-old girl and he paid me for sex,” she reveals to the shocked room.
Later in the week, Cassie takes things further in her quest to get rid of Ross when she decides to drug him with painkillers. However, her plan takes a turn when Steve and Tyrone discover what she’s doing. Could this latest setback be the reason she leaves the street for good?
