Determined to make it hers, Alex wrote a heartfelt letter to the elderly owner, Penelope, begging her to sell the house. The emotional appeal worked, and Alex got the keys to her dream home.

Although the mansion is beautiful, it’s in desperate need of a facelift. Alex jokingly describes the kitchen as “older than I am,” calling the decor “care home chic” thanks to the vintage handrails and features left behind by the previous owners. But Alex isn’t fazed—she’s planning to restore the house’s Georgian charm while updating it to suit her growing family.
