In a dramatic turn of events, Alice Evans was escorted out of a Los Angeles courtroom after taking photos of her ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd during their tense child support hearing. The actress, now 57, had been attending the hearing regarding child support payments for their two daughters, 13-year-old Ella and 9-year-old Elsie, when the misconduct occurred.
Evans was briefly removed from the courtroom after snapping pictures of the 51-year-old Fantastic Four star, a strict violation of courtroom regulations in Los Angeles. The incident caused a stir as the actress stood up, crossed the courtroom, and began taking close-up photos of Gruffudd, who appeared shocked by her actions. A LA County constable immediately confronted Evans, instructing her to delete the photos and warning her about the court’s strict rules regarding photography without prior approval.
After deleting the images, Evans was allowed to return to the courtroom, but the scene left tension hanging in the air as the legal battle continued. This latest public feud is just one of many in the three-year-long custody and child support battle between the former couple, whose marriage ended in 2021 after 14 years. 
The couple’s strained relationship has been a fixture in the media, especially after Gruffudd won a major court victory last year, gaining permission to appoint a child psychologist as part of the ongoing custody proceedings. Evans has long criticized her ex-husband’s requests, including his demand for a “child custody evaluator,” which Judge Josh Freeman Stinn granted in August 2024. 
Further complicating matters, Gruffudd has accused Evans of causing significant emotional harm to their children. According to court documents, the actor claims that Evans has verbally abused him in front of their daughters and actively prevented them from communicating with him. These accusations led to a restraining order being filed against Evans in August 2024.
Despite the ongoing legal drama, Gruffudd recently shared joyous news on social media, announcing his engagement to girlfriend Bianca Wallace. The couple, who went public with their relationship following the split, posted a celebratory photo showing off their engagement ring. Gruffudd shared how excited he was to give marriage another try, writing on Instagram, “The most precious thing happened…”
Meanwhile, Evans continues to face challenges, including a bitter divorce and public scrutiny over her behavior. The complex family dynamics continue to play out in the spotlight, adding even more drama to an already intense situation.
