Just months before the devastating loss of her son, Christine Flack reflected on the special role Paul Flack played within their close-knit family—a touching memory that has become even more poignant following his death at the age of 55.
Paul, the older brother of late television presenter Caroline Flack, died after being found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21. He was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead later that evening.
His passing comes six years after the tragic death of his sister Caroline, whose story was revisited in the Disney+ documentary Caroline, released in November 2025.
“He Was the Fun One”
In the emotional documentary, Christine Flack spoke lovingly about each of her four children and the unique role they played in the family.
Describing Paul, the family’s only son, she smiled as she recalled his playful personality.
“Paul, being the only boy, was the fun aspect. He’d get all the naughty things, really, with them [his sisters].”
Her comments painted a picture of a devoted brother who brought laughter and energy to family life.
Christine also reflected on her daughters, explaining that Caroline had always stood out for her larger-than-life personality.
“Caroline was one-off out of the four children, really. She was always a character. She was the funny one as well—she’d make us laugh. She liked performing to me and her dad.”
She added that Caroline and her twin sister Jody shared an exceptionally close bond throughout their lives.
A Family Forever Changed
Speaking candidly about the aftermath of Caroline’s death in 2020, Christine admitted that the family was never the same again.

Now, the Flack family has been struck by tragedy once again with Paul’s unexpected passing.
A graphic designer by profession, Paul is survived by his partner and their children. In recent months, he had also appeared in the Disney+ documentary, where he openly discussed the lasting grief the family continued to carry after Caroline’s death.
Police Confirm Death Is Not Being Treated as Suspicious
Norfolk Police confirmed officers responded after ambulance crews raised concerns for the welfare of a man in his 50s.
In a statement, police said:
“Officers were called by ambulance after concerns for the safety of a man in his 50s. He was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead at 10.44pm. The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances.”
