Coleen Nolan didn’t hold back when her son brought up her ex-husband, Shane Richie, during a recent episode of the Nolans Uncensored podcast.
The Loose Women star, 61, was chatting with her children Shane and Ciara about family holidays when her son revealed he was heading off on a trip straight after recording. Coleen initially admitted: “I’m really, really jealous of you going on holiday today.”
But the mood shifted when Shane jokingly added, “I’m going with Dad, want to come?” – and Coleen’s response was immediate and blunt: “No!” 😬
Although Coleen and Shane have previously spoken about remaining on good terms after their divorce, this moment sparked curiosity among fans about the boundaries in their co-parenting relationship.
Shane himself has joked about the attention from his ex-wife, saying in a previous interview: “I only watch Loose Women to see what I’m up to – and you can quote me on that.” He added: “We met when she was 21 and I was 22, and we’ve grown up together. We’re still good friends, we’ve got two great kids, and now we’re both grandparents.”
Coleen has also spoken about keeping friendships with former partners. She described her second husband, Ray Fensome, as “one of my best friends,” revealing he still stays at her home when performing nearby. She confirmed there are no lingering romantic feelings: “We shared a room for 17 years, and now there isn’t even a moment like that. Not one.”
On dating, Coleen reflected on her love life since splitting from Michael Jones in 2024: “Sometimes it’s just a connection you can’t explain. Someone might not tick every box, but there’s just something there.”
