Even global pop icons need their moms when it comes to feeding the people they love.
In a heart-melting moment from episode five of Taylor Swift’s Disney+ docuseries The End of an Era, fans get a rare glimpse into Thanksgiving 2024 — and the very specific way Andrea Swift made sure her future son-in-law, Travis Kelce, felt right at home.
Backstage on the Eras Tour in Toronto, Taylor is seen casually asking her mom if she could prepare Kelce’s favorite dish for the holiday.
“And can you make those big ribs for Travis?” Taylor says with a grin.
“I am making those ribs for Travis,” Andrea replies instantly.
Taylor then lets fans in on the nickname Kelce has given the legendary meal:
“The ones he affectionately calls dinosaur bones.”
Andrea laughs and adds: “Texas-size ribs for a Texas-size man,” referencing the 6’5” Chiefs star.
The conversation turns even more relatable when Andrea suggests “spatchcocking” the turkey — only for Taylor to remind her of a previous Thanksgiving disaster.
“Remember when we tried to fry one?” Taylor asks.
“That was a disaster,” Andrea admits. “We had an oil patch in the yard for six months… and the turkey was inedible.”
Thanksgiving 2024 marked the first holiday Taylor and Travis celebrated together with both families. According to insiders, the Swifts hosted the Kelces in Nashville — including Jason Kelce, his wife and kids — turning the day into a full-blown family affair filled with laughter, food and love.
For Taylor, the moment symbolized something deeper. In earlier episodes of the docuseries, she revealed how difficult it used to be to balance relationships while touring — until Travis came along.
“Somehow, I was never able to nurture both,” she admitted. “Now I can.”
From spatchcocked turkeys to “dinosaur bone” ribs, it’s clear: this love story isn’t just written in stadiums — it’s being built around the dinner table. ❤️
