Elisabeth Hasselbeck STIRS Controversy on The View, Calls Democrats “The Party of Masks”

On The View this Wednesday, Elisabeth Hasselbeck left the audience in shock with a bold statement, calling Democrats “the party of masks” as she addressed ongoing political debates. The fiery exchange was sparked during a conversation about immigration, where Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin shared their views on ICE raids and the state of immigration reform in the U.S.

Goldberg discussed the impact of ICE actions, including the recent raids that have left families shaken. “Folks I work with have stopped going to church, stopped taking their kids to school because they’re nervous,” Goldberg shared, criticizing the fear caused by the raids.

Hasselbeck, however, took the conversation in a different direction. Responding to the heated debate, she said, “This is the party of masks. You guys forced masks on everybody in the United States.” Her comment was a reference to the mask mandates imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which she continued, saying, “Like, I don’t want to hear, ‘You can’t see my face.’ I just can’t. I love you, but I can’t.”The View host Elisabeth Hasselbeck declares war on Megyn Kelly live on-air: Read Megyn's snarling reply as their Iran feud bubbles over | Daily Mail Online

The audience was left stunned as audible gasps filled the studio. The co-hosts quickly pushed back, arguing that Hasselbeck’s comment didn’t quite align with the topic at hand, with Goldberg clarifying that she was discussing the impact of immigration raids on everyday people. But Hasselbeck remained firm, defending her point.

Hasselbeck also touched on the “human side” of the immigration issue, stating that her “heart aches” for those seeking to elevate their lives. “We should monitor criminals trying to infiltrate versus those coming here with hope,” she added.

Sunny Hostin wasn’t shy in challenging Hasselbeck’s views. “The majority of fentanyl entering the U.S. comes from American citizens at actual ports of entry,” Hostin fired back, pointing out that undocumented immigrants are often unfairly demonized.

Despite the tension, Hasselbeck defended the current administration’s handling of border issues, acknowledging that “they will make mistakes” but still standing behind their efforts. Goldberg, however, remained critical, saying, “They’re not succeeding with the American people, and that’s the problem.”

This heated exchange shows no sign of cooling off anytime soon, as the debate over immigration, masks, and national policies continues to divide opinions across the nation. Stay tuned for more on this developing story!
