I’m A Celebrity South Africa delivered one of its most shocking episodes to date on April 20, as Adam Thomas was pushed to his emotional breaking point following a heated clash with campmate Jimmy Bullard. The drama kicked off during the Rancid Run Bushtucker Trial, where contestants are paired up, and the team that collects the fewest stars faces elimination. Adam and Jimmy found themselves paired together for the challenge—what followed was a shocking series of events that would send ripples through the entire camp.
As the trial began, Jimmy seemed to lose his nerve, opting to quit midway through the challenge. “Boys, I don’t think I’ve got it in me,” Jimmy admitted to Ant and Dec, before adding, “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here.”

Adam, furious and overwhelmed by the turn of events, stormed over to confront Jimmy: “Are you taking the [bleep]? Are you taking the [bleep]?” His frustration boiled over, leaving him fuming as Jimmy tried to calm the situation. But Adam, covered in ants and clearly at his limit, shouted back, “I’m in there getting covered in [bleeping] ants!”
Tensions reached a boiling point, and Jimmy attempted to diffuse the situation by telling Adam to calm down, calling his actions “pathetic.” But it was clear the damage had been done. The trial was abruptly halted, leaving everyone in the camp in stunned silence.
The argument didn’t end there. Back at camp, Adam continued to challenge Jimmy’s decision to quit, making it clear that he did not approve of Jimmy’s decision to walk away from the trial. “Go home in camp then! Don’t do it on my [bleep]ing watch!” Adam snapped. “Don’t do the show then, bro! Don’t do the show!”
The emotional toll was evident as Adam broke down in tears. Scarlett Moffatt rushed to comfort him, urging him to “go out with grace because you’re a strong man.”
Soon after, Ant and Dec gathered the campmates to explain the situation. Jimmy had already left, and the remaining contestants were given the chance to decide whether Adam should stay. In a unanimous vote, Adam was allowed to stay, much to the relief of his fans and campmates alike.
