Jeff Brazier Breaks Down in Tears as He Makes Emotional Apology to Son Bobby During Live Podcast

Jeff Brazier gave one of his most heartfelt interviews yet after becoming emotional during a live recording of Pete Wicks’ Man Made podcast, leaving the audience moved as he opened up about mental health, fatherhood and the powerful lesson he hopes his sons will remember.

The TV presenter reflected on one of the lowest points in his life while discussing a men’s mental health retreat called The Unmasked Man. Jeff revealed that simply admitting how he truly felt was an emotional breakthrough.

Recalling an exercise where participants introduced themselves with a number describing their emotional state, Jeff admitted he struggled to hold back tears.

“When it got to me, I said, ‘Jeff… one… heavy,'” he shared, explaining that speaking those words aloud finally allowed him to release emotions he had been carrying for a long time.

Jeff said the experience taught him that opening up is far healthier than keeping everything bottled inside, and that the support he received from the other men helped him begin to heal.Jeff Brazier gives thanks for support for his kids as son Bobby joins EastEnders | Soaps | Metro News

But the most touching moment came when the conversation turned to his eldest son, Bobby Brazier.

Fighting back tears, Jeff admitted he rarely cries in front of Bobby and found himself apologising to him.

“I want to apologise to Bob almost… because he doesn’t often see me upset,” Jeff said before adding that, despite the emotion, he believes showing vulnerability may be one of the most important lessons a father can pass on.

Rather than hiding his feelings, Jeff hopes his sons can see that expressing emotions is a sign of strength, not weakness.

The presenter, who shares Bobby and younger son Freddy with the late Jade Goody, also reflected on how much his children have shaped him over the years.

“My kids are my biggest teachers,” he said, joking that Freddy keeps him learning even more than Bobby.

While Jeff briefly mentioned challenges at home, he chose not to go into detail, keeping the focus on his personal journey toward better mental health and emotional honesty.

The deeply personal conversation offered fans a rare glimpse behind the public image, reminding listeners that even those who appear strong can struggle—and that sometimes the bravest thing anyone can do is simply admit they’re not okay.
