Jeremy Clarkson, 66, has shared an update on his health following a terrifying scare featured in the latest Clarkson’s Farm trailer.
The former Top Gear presenter previously revealed he was “days from death” after suffering excruciating chest pains at his Cotswolds home in 2024.

Appearing on Heart Breakfast on Thursday, Jeremy reflected on his “fraught” year and discussed his experience with “fat jabs,” joking that the treatments have left him looking “like a Lowry painting.”

Host Jamie Theakston, 55, commented: “Can I just say you look very well. I know you’ve had a couple of health scares recently.” Clarkson responded: “Yes, it’s fat jabs. I look like a Lowry painting.” He assured hosts Jamie and Amanda Holden that he is “very well” and added: “It was quite a fraught year last year, but no, I’m absolutely fine now. Tickety-boo!”

The presenter also admitted he had underestimated farming when he first started seven years ago, joking that he thought it would involve merely driving a Range Rover, visiting the pub occasionally, and skiing in February. He explained: “I started doing it and it is unbelievably difficult. I’m lucky because I’ve often got a film crew here, so there’s a lot of people. But when there isn’t a film crew, you start to realise, God, I’m all on my own all day, literally from six in the morning until midnight.”
Clarkson reflected on the challenges real farmers face: “You worry about money, you’ve got no one to talk to. It’s not like most office jobs; these guys are on their own worrying all day that the weather isn’t right, subsidies vanish, and they’re being forced to grow bird food instead of human food.”
He also spoke about The Hawkstone Choir, which he brought together initially for some adverts, saying: “It’s great that the choir has kept going. We only brought it together for silly adverts, and then they all went, ‘This is great, we’ll just stay together.’”
Amazon Prime confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm Series Five will premiere on June 3, with episodes one to four released that day, followed by episodes five and six on June 10, and the final two episodes airing on June 17. Clarkson teased that this series is “the most dramatic yet.”
The first trailer, released Monday, sees Clarkson reflecting on his own mortality after doctors urged him to take a break. In 2024, he was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after chest pains revealed one of his arteries was “completely blocked.” Surgeons inserted a stent to restore blood flow, saving his life.
Away from the farm, Clarkson’s favourite pub, The Farmer’s Dog, has faced challenges, including tensions arising from travellers.
Since Clarkson’s Farm first aired on Amazon Prime in 2021, it has become a huge hit, now entering its fifth series. Filming wrapped in February 2026, following an announcement in December 2024.
