For years, Josie Gibson has kept her private life firmly out of the spotlight. But in a rare and deeply personal admission, the beloved This Morning presenter has revealed that she is working to rebuild her relationship with her former partner—not for romance, but for the person who matters most: their seven-year-old son, Reggie.
The 41-year-old television star has opened up about the emotional journey of co-parenting, explaining that she and Reggie’s father, Terry Bond, are determined to create the most stable future possible for their son, despite ending their relationship years ago.
A New Chapter Built on Co-Parenting
Josie and Terry welcomed Reggie into the world in 2018, but their relationship came to an end just four months after their son was born.
Now, seven years later, Josie says they are making a conscious effort to strengthen their relationship as co-parents.
Speaking candidly, she shared that their focus is no longer on the past but on giving Reggie the secure and loving environment he deserves.
“We’re trying to build our relationship back to best co-parent Reggie and create a stable life for our son.”
Rather than dwelling on what went wrong, Josie says the pair are putting their son’s happiness first—something she clearly considers her biggest priority.
Why Josie Refuses to Introduce Men Into Reggie’s Life
Although Josie has been linked to several people since becoming famous, she admitted she has intentionally kept her dating life away from her son.
She explained that she is extremely protective when it comes to Reggie and has no intention of exposing him to different relationships.
“I don’t want different men around my son. I’m really funny about things like that. I would never let Reg see me with a man.”
The presenter also revealed she has even declined offers to appear on dating television shows because she refuses to compromise the stable family life she wants to build for her son.
It’s a decision that reflects how seriously she takes motherhood—even if it means putting her own personal life on hold.
Fame Changed Her Perspective
Since winning Big Brother in 2010, Josie has become one of Britain’s most recognisable television personalities.
From presenting This Morning to appearing on numerous entertainment shows, she has spent well over a decade in the public eye.
But fame, she admits, has also taught her some difficult lessons.
Josie confessed that she used to trust people much more easily.
“I used to be really soft-hearted, but people took the mick. They take your kindness for weakness.”
