Katie Price has hit back with a statement after her ex-husband Alex Reid leaked explosive footage of her flaunting a pile of cash — despite being officially bankrupt. 
In the one-minute 38-second clip, the former glamour model is seen lounging on the sofa in white jodhpurs beside a Christmas tree, waving and counting thick wads of money. At one point she smirks: “There’s loads here… I’m just sorting it out.”
Katie, who has twice been declared bankrupt over debts exceeding £3 million, then appears to dismiss financial concerns raised by her daughter Princess, 18. When asked whether she would contribute to her and Junior’s private school fees, Katie sneered: “Your dad can sit on that” — before raising her middle finger.
She added: “Does he go on about it a lot? Well it’s tough because I’m in bankruptcy to next May now.” Katie also referenced “my London flat” — believed to be the same property allocated to Peter Andre in their divorce settlement.
Reid Drops the Video 
The footage, believed to have been filmed in late 2020, was shared this week by Reid, a former Big Brother star and Katie’s ex-husband. Alongside the release, he issued a chilling statement:
“Over the years you’ve seen countless stories by Katie Price directed at me, Peter, Keiran and others. Today I want to be clear — I am spearheading a campaign to expose the truth. This isn’t about gossip but about evidence. It’s not about rumour, it’s about reality. After years of silence, the time has finally come to reveal all.”
Katie’s Response
Katie immediately pushed back, insisting the money shown in the video was not hers. A spokesperson explained:
“This is a video that was shared with Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy several months ago. Katie has fully complied with the Trustee’s investigations. The cash featured did not belong to Katie, and the property referred to was dealt with in financial settlement proceedings from her divorce with Peter Andre. Katie’s Trustee is aware of the property and has investigated whether it should be included in the bankruptcy estate.”
History of Bankruptcy and Scandals
Katie was first declared bankrupt in 2019 with debts of £3.5 million, including nearly £1 million owed to HMRC. She was declared bankrupt again last March over a further £761,994 tax bill.
Among her creditors is Alex Reid, who is still owed £175,000 in High Court damages and costs after Katie revealed a sex tape he claims was filmed without his consent.
In the leaked footage, Katie can also be heard mocking Reid, saying she had “extended” her bankruptcy so he wouldn’t get paid: “Alex Reid wants money from me and he won’t be able to get it… He’s an a**hole.”*
Reid, in turn, told followers he was stunned watching her count the cash: “It’s unbelievable. She just admitted she lied.”
Katie’s Struggles Continue
The controversy comes only days after Katie revealed she was left unable to perform basic functions following her latest round of facial surgeries. The star’s turbulent personal and financial life continues to make headlines, with her bankruptcy trustees still “seeking realisations from various third parties.”
For Alex Reid, however, the gloves are now off. His vow to “expose the truth” signals that this long-running saga is far from over.
