Peter Andre has been left “devastated” after his daughter Princess became caught in the middle of an explosive feud with her mother, Katie Price. The tension, which has been simmering for weeks, has now spilled into the spotlight — with accusations, family pressure, and shock public statements adding fuel to the fire.
The row began after Katie Price claimed she was deliberately excluded from The Princess Diaries, the ITV2 docuseries fronted by her 18-year-old daughter. According to reports, Katie insisted she was not invited to take part — or even to Princess’ milestone birthday party.
Katie’s sister Sophie also weighed in during an episode of The Katie Price Show podcast, suggesting that Princess should demand her mother’s inclusion. “Ultimately I do think it’s down to Princess to put her foot down a bit,” Sophie said. Katie quickly responded: “But, she’ll be scared Soph.”
Now, insiders say Peter is heartbroken that Princess is being pressured into the family drama. A source told The Sun: “It’s been a whirlwind of a time. These past few weeks should have been all about Princess and her new career. Instead, it’s been overshadowed by her mum, who just can’t seem to stay out of the headlines.”
The source added that Katie’s recent affectionate social media posts about her daughter looked like “damage control,” describing them as an attempt to convince fans that their relationship remains strong.
Princess, who has only just launched her media career with The Princess Diaries, has tried to keep her distance from the chaos. While Peter has been heavily involved in supporting the show, Katie’s only presence was via a phone call — never appearing on screen.
When asked directly about the rift, Princess admitted that her mother can be “annoyed” about things, but explained to The Guardian: “We send each other a message and we’re fine.” Still, she acknowledged the strain of having divorced parents. “It’s not easy. Especially divorced parents,” she said.
Princess also revealed why her parents weren’t both featured in her new programme: “They don’t like each other. It would be quite strange for my mum and dad to be in it at the same time, just because that’s never been the case in my life since they split up.”
Katie, however, has remained vocal. She publicly blasted the show’s producers and even called on Peter to sit down and put an end to their feud.
But in a stunning twist, Peter hit back with a rare and emotional Instagram post. “For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones,” he wrote. “But staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.”
