Adams, 63, was removed from BBC Scotland’s schedules after claims of misconduct surfaced, including throwing a pen and verbally berating an intern. Additionally, allegations surfaced of her swearing at a colleague. Although Adams was cleared of two other accusations, the impact of the investigation was evident in her emotional reflection.

On her podcast, How to Be 60, Adams shared how difficult the last few months have been. “It’s been brutal, there’s no doubt about it,” she admitted. “It’s hard… you know what I mean? It’s been really tough.”

She revealed her priority is to focus on her family – particularly her husband, tennis coach Ian Campbell, and their two daughters, Charley and Bonnie.

The day after her BBC exit, Adams spent quality time in Edinburgh with her children, saying, “It was just so lovely. We went for a walk with the dog and I listened to them talk about everything. It was really nice to be present with them. They’re so amazing, and so supportive.”Loose Women's Kaye Adams reveals secret civil partnership with partner of THIRTY years - and the reason behind it
