Kelly Ripa has opened up about a long-standing regret from her $179 Las Vegas wedding to husband Mark Consuelos, despite the couple celebrating nearly 30 years of marriage.

The Live with Kelly and Mark host shared the candid confession during the June 12 episode of the show, while the couple discussed celebrity weddings and reflected on their own spontaneous elopement in 1996.
Kelly admitted that if she could change one thing about their quick Vegas ceremony, it would be the lack of flowers, saying it has always bothered her in photos.
“I’m still sorry we didn’t spring for flowers,” she said, explaining that she feels her hands look awkward in the wedding pictures without a bouquet.
She jokingly pointed out that “somebody didn’t want to spend on flowers,” adding that the budget wedding package included everything except floral arrangements.
Mark and Kelly’s discussion also turned nostalgic as they recalled their simple ceremony at the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas, which cost only a small amount but has lasted a lifetime.
Mark suggested the venue to couples considering eloping, joking that the marriages “stick,” while Kelly noted they have now been married for around three decades.
The couple, who met on the set of All My Children, eloped in Las Vegas one year after first working together on the soap opera.
Kelly has previously shared that their families were initially unhappy about the decision, taking years to fully accept the surprise wedding.
Over the years, she has often reflected on marriage as a long journey, describing relationships as a “marathon” that requires patience and persistence.
Despite her one regret, Kelly continues to celebrate their lasting partnership, which remains one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories.
