Katie Price’s closest pal Kerry Katona has leapt to her defense after Alex Reid sensationally leaked a video of the bankrupt model laughing and counting stacks of cash.
Reid, 50, stunned fans when he announced he was preparing to “reveal the truth” about his ex-wife Katie. The 47-year-old was declared bankrupt twice in 2019 and again last year over a massive unpaid tax bill.
The leaked clip, believed to have been filmed in 2020, shows Katie sitting with her daughter Princess while thumbing through wads of money.
At one point she can be heard bragging: “There’s loads here… I’m just sorting it out.”
She then quizzes Princess about whether her father, Peter Andre, comments on her paying school fees. Raising her middle finger, she adds: “Your dad can sit on that.”
Still laughing, Katie continues: “Does he go on about it a lot? Well, it’s tough because I’m in bankruptcy until next May now.” She also references a London flat during the footage.
Katie’s Response
Following the uproar, a spokesperson for Katie explained: *“This is a video that was shared with Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy several months ago, and Katie has fully complied with the Trustee’s investigations.
“The cash featured did not belong to Katie, and the property referred to was dealt with in the financial settlement proceedings from her divorce with Peter Andre. Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy is aware of the property and has undoubtedly investigated whether it should be included in the bankruptcy estate.”*
Katie and Alex famously tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2010 but split just a year later.

The video leak comes hot on the heels of another public battle with Katie’s ex-husband Peter Andre. Pete recently accused Katie of spreading “baseless accusations” and confirmed that their children, Princess and Junior, have lived primarily in his care since 2018 “for their safety.”
Peter explained that after years of silence, he has now reached his breaking point. “Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations that I have yet to address. Those will be dealt with in the coming months,” he warned, confirming that he too is preparing legal action.
The dramatic fallout has only heightened interest in the scandal — with Katie Price once again at the center of a storm, but this time with both of her ex-husbands and her closest friends weighing in.
