Loose Women’s Gloria Hunniford and Kaye Adams had a tense on-air clash during Friday’s episode of the ITV show, leaving viewers glued to their screens.

Joining panelists Judi Love, 45, and Jane Moore, 63, Gloria and Kaye debated the current political climate, focusing on Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s refusal to resign. As the conversation intensified, the two locked horns over the nation’s desire for stability versus change.

“I want to beat my head against a brick wall, all this country wants is a bit of stability, people want their lives to be better,” Kaye exclaimed. Gloria countered firmly, insisting: “People want change. They do. They do.”
The debate escalated when Kaye interrupted Gloria, prompting the veteran presenter to say: “Just let me finish my bit…” The back-and-forth continued, with both panelists passionately defending their perspectives. At one point, Kaye challenged Gloria about her voting history, but Gloria refused to disclose her choice. Jane Moore lightened the tension, joking: “This feels like parliament to me right there!”
The clash comes amid Kaye’s own media history. She was removed from her £155K-a-year BBC Radio Scotland show in October following complaints of misconduct. While some allegations were upheld, others were dismissed, and Kaye has since maintained her innocence.
Her former talent agent Melanie publicly defended her, stating that Kaye “would never even throw a pen… unlike others who might snap instantly.” Kaye continues as a regular Loose Women panellist, and ITV has stood by her throughout.
Addressing old allegations, Kaye categorically denied using a misogynistic slur 14 years ago and rejected claims of berating an intern or throwing a pencil. She described the accusations as “malicious stories” and expressed heartbreak that years of hard work have been questioned.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12:30 pm on ITV, continuing to showcase heated debates and behind-the-scenes drama that keeps viewers talking.
