Lisa Rinna addressed when her late mom Lois appeared to her in a dream and told her “it’s time” to leave The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The star shared more details on her exit, and she claimed that if her mom hadn’t passed away, Lisa would “still be on that show.”
Three years ago, Lisa confirmed that she was leaving RHOBH, eight seasons after she started. Some fans believe she ‘saved’ the show with her ability to stir the pot, despite the growing hate from certain viewers.
On The Morgan Stewart Show, Lisa addressed why she left RHOBH.
“Here’s what happened. If my mom hadn’t died, I would probably still be on that show today,” said Lisa, “because I’m such a worker bee. I [would have] just adapted and made it work.”
She then recalled a dream she had shortly after her mom passed away.
“She [appeared in the dream and] said, ‘It’s time to go. It’s time to go,’” said Lisa, referring to RHOBH. “It really happened. It did happen, and I’ve got chills. I know it happened.”
Lisa said she wasn’t contemplating leaving the show before her mom appeared in the dream.
As for her final season, Lisa expressed, “I was in a very painful position. My mom died. Three days later, I went to work. And I should never, ever have done it. Listen, it’s my own fault. I should have said, ‘You know what? I have to take some time. I cannot come right back to work.’ But there was a trip to Mexico, and they needed me [to carry the scenes].”
Last year, Lisa revealed that fan hate also played a role in her decision to quit.
“It got very difficult toward the end because of social media,” she said at the time on the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast. “Everybody got really comfortable behind their computers saying anything.”
“They villainized me in a way that I just didn’t want to live like that anymore,” she said. “[And] whether you want me back or not … the fanbase turns on everybody after a while, but … [I thought], life’s too short. I’m not gonna do this anymore. It was too much.”
