In an explosive revelation, Scottish singer Lulu has admitted that she recently found out her late ex-husband, Maurice Gibb, may have secretly fathered a child with another woman during their six-year marriage. The shocking admission came during an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast, where Lulu discussed her marriage to the Bee Gees star and her subsequent relationships with pop legend David Bowie and celebrity stylist John Frieda.

Lulu, 77, shared that she was shown irrefutable proof of Maurice’s secret son, and although she didn’t know when the child was born, she believes it may have happened while they were still married. “I think he’s got a son,” she said. “It might have happened when we were married. I just found out.”

Maurice, who passed away in 2003, is known to have two children with his second wife, Yvonne Spenceley—daughter Samantha and son Adam. However, in 2019, a man named Nick Endacott-Gibb claimed that he was the biological son of Maurice and studio manager Patti Nolder, after DNA tests confirmed a 100% match with Maurice’s son Adam.
Lulu, speaking about the possibility of Maurice fathering a child during their marriage, said that while the revelation was shocking, it didn’t matter much now. “I’ve learned through trial and tribulation… there are many grey areas,” she reflected, acknowledging that life had taught her to embrace the complexities.
The stunning admission sheds light on Lulu’s complex and sometimes painful relationship with Maurice. She also recalled their reunion on stage in 2002, a year before Maurice’s death, during a special TV performance, and said it gave both of them a chance to honor their past and find closure.
The full interview, where Lulu opens up about her feelings on Maurice’s secret child, her love life, and her personal growth, is available to watch now.
