Megyn Kelly couldn’t help but gush over her husband Douglas Brunt as they celebrated 18 years of marriage. The political commentator took to Instagram to mark the milestone, sharing a glowing selfie of the couple against a stunning coastal backdrop.
“Happy Anniversary @douglas_brunt – 18 years and it feels like just the beginning. I’m so lucky I get to spend my life with you,” Kelly wrote alongside the picture, capturing the joy and love that still defines their relationship.
In the beautiful photo, the couple looked relaxed and happy, with rolling hills and the ocean behind them. Kelly, dressed in a chic white halter-style top, and Brunt, in a dark polo, posed with big smiles as they leaned in close for the shot.

Douglas Brunt also chimed in, replying, “Loving every minute of it, honey! Better than ever. I love you.” The couple, who first met in 2006 on a blind date in Washington, D.C., has been inseparable since. They got engaged 14 months later and married in March 2008.
Together, they have three children: Edward Yates, Yardley Evans, and Thatcher Bray. Kelly and Brunt’s love story began with a blind date set up by friends, and their chemistry was instant. “He came across as sincere. He’s clever and has a great sense of humor,” Kelly once said, reflecting on their first meeting.
During an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show in 2023, Kelly admitted that she initially found Brunt “different from what I thought I wanted.” But, as she later realized, Brunt’s kindness, intelligence, and strength were exactly what she needed.
Brunt, who has supported Kelly through tough public moments, such as when she was criticized by Donald Trump in 2016, has been vocal about the challenges of seeing his wife attacked in the media. He shared that the couple leaned on each other for emotional support during those difficult times.
“Seeing someone you love get attacked, you want to protect them and help them,” Brunt said, “but the smart thing, the right thing, is not to do anything.”
