Pete Wicks has opened up about the future of his hit series For Dogs’ Sake following its immense success with fans. The former TOWIE star first launched the heartfelt documentary series in January 2025, volunteering at Dogs Trust rehoming centres, and it has since garnered widespread praise with three successful seasons.
Now, Pete has revealed plans to return for a fourth series, with filming set to begin later this month. The new series is expected to be released later this year, bringing even more heartwarming moments and rescue stories to viewers.
Speaking on his podcast Staying Relevant, alongside co-host Sam Thompson, Pete shared that he would start filming in just two weeks. During the chat, Pete also touched on a recent encounter with his TV rival, Alison Hammond, who is currently filming For The Love of Dogs for Battersea. Despite their competition, Pete had nothing but praise for the charities involved. “It just goes to show how amazing these charities are,” he said.
For Dogs’ Sake has already earned recognition, winning a prestigious TV Choice Award. The show provides a raw and emotional look into the realities of rescue dogs, following high-stakes veterinary surgeries and the difficult task of rehoming abandoned pups.
In an earlier episode, Pete was visibly moved as he met Theo, an Italian Mastiff with a terminal heart condition. The heart-wrenching moment left Pete in tears, as he learned that Theo, despite his young age, only had a year left to live due to malnutrition and other health complications. Holding Theo and reflecting on his diagnosis, Pete expressed his deep affection for the dog, calling him “a beautiful dog with so much soul.” “I just wish there was something I could do… It’s broken my heart,” Pete said.
Meanwhile, Pete’s personal life has also been making headlines. He has recently been linked to Olivia Attwood, who separated from her long-time partner, footballer Bradley Dack, in January. Just weeks after their split, Olivia and Pete were spotted sharing a passionate kiss at Soho’s Flute Bar, confirming their blossoming romance.
The two recently discussed the idea of a Las Vegas wedding on The Sunday Roast: The Podcast, though Olivia playfully dismissed the idea of a stag or hen do. “I think my next wedding will be in Vegas,” she teased, to which Pete responded, “Can I come on the hen do?”
While Olivia hasn’t openly confirmed her relationship with Pete, a close friend of the couple revealed that Pete has been a supportive figure for Olivia during her difficult breakup. “Olivia’s close friends are happy that Pete has put a smile back on her face,” the source said. “He’s been there for her, helping her through this tough time.”
The relationship is still new, but sources close to the couple are optimistic about their future, especially given how Pete has been a “shoulder to cry on” for Olivia.
