Katie Price’s family are said to be deeply worried that the star could end up losing thousands of pounds after tying the knot with her new husband, amid mounting concerns about his past and his financial claims.
The former glamour model, 47, married self-styled businessman Katie Price’s whirlwind romance with Lee Andrews culminated in a surprise wedding in Dubai last month — just weeks after the pair first met.
Despite a series of troubling allegations and inconsistencies surrounding Lee being uncovered, Katie has continued to stand by her husband. Over the weekend, she flew back to Dubai to reunite with him, sharing loved-up snaps as the couple showed off matching tattoos and appeared unfazed by the storm brewing back home.
Behind the scenes, however, those closest to Katie are reportedly growing increasingly anxious.
Family fears over money and manipulation
Sources claim Katie’s family are concerned she could be footing the bill for everything — or worse, being persuaded to hand over money — at a time when she has only recently begun to rebuild her finances following years of turmoil.
Lee is currently banned from leaving Dubai after allegedly spending three weeks in custody over claims he forged an ex-girlfriend’s signature on a £200,000 loan. Despite this, Katie chose to travel back to the UAE to be with him, dismissing worries in a defiant social media video.
One insider told The Sun:
“They’re all incredibly worried that Katie might be paying for everything, or being talked into giving him money.
“He claims he’s a millionaire, but no one is clear on whether he actually has any money — or where it comes from.
“Katie has only just started earning again after the bankruptcies, so everyone is terrified about what could happen while she’s in Dubai.”
‘I’m a grown woman’ — Katie hits back
Before jetting out to reunite with Lee, Katie addressed the speculation head-on, insisting she knows exactly what she is doing.
In a candid video, she said:
“I know people are wondering what’s going on in the Katie Price world. Honestly, I’m reading things as they unfold just like everyone else.
“I’m fully aware of what’s being said. I see things, I get sent things — but I want people to understand that I’m a grown a**e woman.”
The star, who turns 48 this year, stressed that therapy and self-reflection had helped her reach a stronger place emotionally.
“I’m not a kid anymore. I’ve learned a lot over the past few years. I’m not stupid, I know what I’m doing — and if I’m happy, that’s all that matters.”
She added that she was looking forward to returning to Dubai and urged fans not to worry:
“I’m really happy. If there was anything to update you on, I would. But I’m not worried, so you don’t need to worry either.”
A troubled financial past
Katie’s loved ones’ concerns are heightened by her long-documented money struggles.
The reality star has faced multiple bankruptcy hearings over the years. After initially avoiding bankruptcy in 2018 through an IVA, she was declared bankrupt in November 2019, having lost a reported £45 million fortune.
She was declared bankrupt again in March 2024 over more than £750,000 in unpaid tax. Later that year, a warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to attend a hearing, though she subsequently completed a private interview and public examination.
Reports suggest Katie remains under strict income payment orders until 2027.
Explosive allegations from Lee’s exes
Concerns around Lee intensified last month after two women — Alana Percival and Crystal Janke — publicly accused him of deception.
The women claim Lee dated them at the same time last year and allegedly took large sums of money from Crystal, amounting to £123,000. Police are understood to be aware of reports of alleged fraud.
Crystal is said to have directly warned Katie: “Do not give that man any money.”
Alana also issued a stark warning, claiming:
“Katie should run for the hills. Lee is a liar, a narcissist and, in my opinion, a manipulator.”
While dating Alana, Lee allegedly showered her with luxury gifts — including a Louis Vuitton handbag — which the women now suspect may have been funded by money taken from Crystal.
“He would send cash transfers — £5,000, £2,000 — it was a lot,” Alana claimed.
Crystal has provided bank statements and says she transferred money in four instalments after Lee spoke to her about supposed investment opportunities and a future together in Dubai.
“It was all romance at first,” she said. “He told my mum he was going to marry me. He even said he’d bought us a house.”
Crystal later became suspicious after her sister hired a private investigator, who uncovered Lee’s alleged double life. When confronted, she claims Lee dismissed evidence as fake.
“I know I’ll never get the money back,” Crystal admitted. “Looking back, I think, ‘How did I let him scam me?’ But he was incredibly convincing.”
Love, loyalty — and lingering questions
Despite the growing list of allegations and warnings, Katie has remained publicly loyal, continuing to post affectionate messages and images with her husband.
For now, she insists she is happy and in control. But with her fragile financial recovery, Lee’s disputed past, and family fears mounting, questions continue to swirl — leaving fans watching closely to see what happens next.
