Jeff Brazier has shared a deeply emotional reflection after watching his son Bobby Brazier, 22, walk the runway for Gucci at Milan Fashion Week — admitting it will “never be fair” that Bobby’s late mother, Jade Goody, wasn’t there to witness the moment.
The proud father, 46, who also shares son Freddie, 21, with Jade, described the milestone as one of those rare, breathless moments every parent hopes to experience — filled with pride, joy, and an ache that never truly disappears.
“A proper pinch-me moment”
Taking to Instagram, Jeff paid tribute to Bobby with a heartfelt message alongside striking images from the catwalk.
“Proud dad post!” he wrote. “This kid has served up a few pinch-me moments, but this is right up there. To walk for Gucci in Milan — it’s his most loved brand and I know how much it meant to him. There’s no better feeling than watching someone you love realise a dream.”
Jeff added that Bobby handled the moment with characteristic calm. “As usual, he took it all in his stride,” he said.
“She would have been elated”
But amid the celebration, Jeff made space for the person he knows would have been cheering the loudest.
“I can’t celebrate Bobby without acknowledging how elated his mum would have been,” he wrote. “She spent a good few quid in their stores too. It will never be fair that she doesn’t get to sit immersed in this immeasurable feeling of pride like I do.”
Still, he found comfort in legacy. “Her amazing genes live on in both of her boys,” he added, before closing simply: “Thank you @bobbybrazier. That was so fun to watch ❤️.”
Jade Goody, who rose to fame on Big Brother in 2002, died aged just 27 in March 2009 following a widely followed and devastating battle with cervical cancer. Jeff went on to raise Bobby and Freddie as a single parent in the years that followed.
A career high amid quieter tensions
Bobby’s Gucci debut marks another major step in his rising fashion and acting career, cementing his growing presence on the international stage. However, the celebratory moment comes amid reports of behind-the-scenes family strain.
It emerged last month that Jeff had withdrawn from a planned ITV fly-on-the-wall documentary — likened to The Osbournes — which was set to feature him alongside his sons. While the decision reportedly caused production disruption, insiders claim Bobby and Freddie are continuing with the project regardless.
One source said: “Jeff had a change of heart, but the boys didn’t want to lose the opportunity. Going through it together has actually brought them closer after a difficult period.”
Pride, loss — and a legacy that endures
For Jeff, seeing Bobby step onto the Gucci runway was everything a parent could hope for: confidence, achievement and a dream realised. Yet it was also a reminder of the one absence that still feels unbearably unfair.
As his words made clear, the pride is immeasurable — and Jade’s presence, though unseen, remains woven into every milestone her sons reach.
