Lee Latchford-Evans, the talented singer from STEPS, has confirmed the arrival of his second child with wife Kerry-Lucy. The couple, who first shared their exciting news on Christmas Day, have now welcomed their bundle of joy into the world.
Taking to Instagram, Lee, 51, shared a heartwarming photo of himself leaving the hospital while carrying his newborn in a baby travel seat. His caption read, “Here we go again!” with blue and purple heart emojis, leaving fans intrigued about the gender of the baby.
Kerry-Lucy, who later re-shared the post to her own Instagram, added to the excitement by joining her husband in celebrating their growing family.
Fans flooded the couple with congratulatory messages, with one saying, “Oh this is wonderful news!! Congratulations!! X,” and another adding, “Congratulations on your baby news.”
Lee’s bandmate from STEPS, Faye Tozer, also expressed her joy, writing, “Bursting with joy for you all! Can’t wait to meet the little one.”
This is the second child for the couple, who already share a son, Leo, born in July 2021. Despite facing the heartbreaking experience of a miscarriage in the past, Lee and Kerry’s love has helped them through the difficult times.
In an emotional interview with the Daily Mail, Lee shared the couple’s journey towards parenthood, revealing how they had struggled with feelings of resentment when they were surrounded by friends who were having babies. “We’ve wanted a baby for so long. We did start thinking, ‘Why isn’t this working for us? What’s wrong with us?’” Lee admitted.
However, despite the tough times, Lee and Kerry have shown incredible strength in their relationship, growing closer and eventually welcoming their second child.
