Is Susanna Reid the next big celebrity to join Celebrity Traitors season two? The Good Morning Britain host has dropped her biggest hint yet, leaving fans on the edge of their seats!
After returning from her Easter break, the 55-year-old anchor stayed extremely tight-lipped about her potential involvement in the hit BBC show when the topic came up during the live broadcast.
The drama unfolded when entertainment reporter Richard Arnold reported on actress Anna Maxwell Martin’s decision to turn down an offer for Celebrity Traitors due to her early bedtime. Immediately after, Susanna’s co-host, Ed Balls, jumped in with a direct question: “Are you ruling yourself out?”
With a mischievous grin, Susanna answered: “I’m neither ruling myself out nor in, I’m going to hokey cokey with that.”
She then cheekily turned the tables, asking Ed whether he was in or out. Ed, with a grin, firmly declared: “Out,” but admitted that he hadn’t even been approached by the show’s producers.
But Susanna wasn’t done with the tease just yet. When Ed pressed further, asking, “Did they ask you though?” she slyly responded: “I’m neither confirming nor denying.”
Ed quipped back, “You’re lighting the blue touch paper as we speak!” and Susanna teased once more, “You’ll find out when it’s on air.”
The playful banter between the two left fans eagerly anticipating an official announcement. “How absolutely fabulous and intriguing!” Ed said, clearly enjoying the suspense.
In a twist of fate, Kate Garraway, Susanna’s Good Morning Britain co-host and a former Celebrity Traitors participant, threw her full support behind Susanna joining season two. On a radio segment for Smooth FM, Kate said: “Clearly, you, Jenni Falconer. But Alison Hammond would be fantastic too! I’d love to see her in there. Or, of course, the Good Morning Britain gang… wouldn’t it be brilliant to see Susanna sleuthing on the show?”
With all eyes now on Susanna, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Could we soon see her plotting her way through the psychological game of lies, betrayal, and suspense on Celebrity Traitors? Fans will have to wait and see.
Celebrity Traitors 2 is set to air later this year, with the BBC planning even more star-studded seasons through 2029.
