Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are celebrating a milestone moment for their youngest son — and doing it with love, laughter and a heavy dose of nostalgia.
The couple took to Instagram on Tuesday, February 24, to mark Joaquin Consuelos’ 23rd birthday, sharing a heartfelt joint post packed with throwback photos spanning his life from babyhood to adulthood. 
“Happy birthday to the Broadway-bound newborn who is 23 years old today!” Ripa wrote in the caption. “We love you Joaquin, you are a bright light in this world! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎂🎂🎂🎂⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.”
Mark echoed the sentiment in the comments, adding: “We love you son. So proud of you. Enjoy your day!!!!🎉🎈🎂.”
Joaquin responded simply — and sweetly — with a string of red heart emojis, thanking his parents for the love.
A walk down memory lane
The Instagram post featured a collection of deeply personal family moments. The first image showed Kelly and Mark holding Joaquin at his baptism, followed by snaps of his older siblings Michael and Lola Consuelos cuddling their baby brother. 
Other photos captured Joaquin’s playful personality over the years — including a shot of him jokingly handcuffing himself to Kelly, and a light-hearted image of Joaquin posing with Mark’s father, Saul Consuelos, both wearing underwear on their heads. 
The final slides shifted to more recent memories, highlighting Joaquin’s time as a wrestler at the University of Michigan, where he graduated in May 2025.

Kelly shares Joaquin’s birth story on air 
Kelly also celebrated Joaquin’s birthday during Tuesday’s episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, where she humorously revisited his birth story.
Knowing she had a planned C-section, Kelly joked that she arrived for the procedure with her “hair blown out” and her “nails done.”
“He met me looking like a normal person,” she quipped. “His siblings met me looking like a wild animal that had been through something.”
From proud son to Broadway-bound star 
Earlier this month, Joaquin made a surprise appearance via video message during Kelly’s 25th anniversary celebration episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.
“Hey, Mom. Wow, 25 years,” he joked. “You might be wondering where I am. I’m currently in your home.”
He revealed he had just returned from rehearsal for Death of a Salesman, which opens April 9, before dramatically flopping onto what appeared to be his parents’ bed.
“Love you, proud of you — and here’s to 25 more!” he added.
Joaquin’s Broadway debut comes just weeks before Mark makes his own stage debut in Fallen Angels, opening April 19 — making it a landmark spring for the entire family.
