The 56-year-old Strictly star posted the nostalgic picture on Instagram, where little Phoebe, now a lookalike of her mother, is seen hugging Tess in matching white tops.
In the heartwarming post, Tess reflected on the passage of time, saying, “Phoebe found this pic for Mother’s Day and it genuinely feels like yesterday and now she’s 21 and living in NYC until summer! Time flies!”
Phoebe, who’s currently living in New York City temporarily, shares a strong bond with her famous mum. Tess also has a 16-year-old daughter, Amber Isabella, with her husband, TV star Vernon Kay. Last month, Tess and Vernon flew to the Big Apple for a “whirlwind” half-term trip to visit Phoebe after her move to the States.
Tess looked effortlessly chic as she posed with her daughters during their sightseeing trip, sporting a white jumper and blue jeans. Phoebe, looking trendy, wore loose-fitting jeans with a black top and a fur-trimmed white jacket. The family soaked up every moment in the city, with Tess writing, “I ❤️ NYC. Maximised every minute on a whirlwind half-term trip & fell in love with this magical city all over again.”
Phoebe’s temporary stay in New York started in January 2026, as she shared an Instagram snap from a rooftop bar in the city, captioning it: “Home for a while…”
Tess and Vernon, who have been together since their early days as up-and-coming presenters, made their TV return together for the first time in nearly 20 years earlier this month when they guest-hosted The One Show. Their relationship, which began when they both worked for Channel 4 and ITV, continues to thrive, and Tess opened up about the strength of their bond in a previous interview.
The couple married in 2003 at St Mary’s Church in Horwich, Vernon’s hometown, keeping their wedding intimate and low-key with a small group of close friends and celebrities. The celebrations included a reception at Rivington Hall Barn with DJ Brandon Block providing the entertainment.
