Kristen Doute revealed she’s “not super close” with Scheana Shay, and she hasn’t spoken to Stassi Schroeder in “two years.” The Valley star also shared where she stands with Katie Maloney, Ariana Madix, and Lala Kent.
Though Kristen once starred with Scheana, Stassi, Katie, Ariana, and Lala on Vanderpump Rules, only Kristen and Lala are on its spinoff, The Valley. However, Stassi and Katie just started a new Hulu show called House of Stassi, while Ariana is the Emmy-nominated host of Love Island USA.
On the Watch What Happens Live podcast, Kristen addressed where she stands with her former castmates on Vanderpump Rules.
“[Scheana and I are] not super close,” said Kristen, via @breakingtherulespodclips on Instagram. “But we talk. … Over the last three or four months, we’ve been in more contact than we have in a while.”
“Katie and I [also] talk. We just text. I haven’t seen her in a bit,” she said. As for Kristen and Stassi, the star explained, “There’s no bad blood. I just haven’t talked to [Stassi] in like two years maybe. … We’re just not in the same place at all. … Maybe [there’s bad blood] on her part. I just, I don’t know. We just have different friends.”
Kristen added that she’s still in touch with Ariana, Tom Schwartz, and Lala.
Host Andy Cohen then asked if she would have thought back in the day that Ariana would end up being an Emmy-nominated host for a show.
“Way back in the day, no, because I didn’t give her any credit for anything,” admitted Kristen. “But once we became friends, knowing how much I know about her acting past and how driven she is, what a hustler she is, one would think. But if you would have asked me during Vanderpump Rules, no way. I’m so proud of her. What an incredible feat.”
In 2023, Ariana’s career took off as fans supported her during the scandal involving her then-boyfriend Tom Sandoval’s affair with castmate Rachel Leviss.
