In a season that hasn’t gone the Chiefs’ way, one thing inside the Kansas City locker room hasn’t changed: the heart.
Center Creed Humphrey opened up about the soul of the team — and the two men who set the tone every single day: Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
“They’re awesome. As good of football players as they are, they’re just as good human beings,” Humphrey said. “They bring great energy. Great vibes. You can tell they love what they do — and that’s infectious.”
Even with Kansas City missing the playoffs for the first time in a decade, Humphrey says Mahomes and Kelce still show up smiling, lifting teammates, keeping the spirit alive.
When Kelce announced his engagement to Taylor Swift in August, the locker room erupted in support.
“Big congrats to him — that’s awesome,” Humphrey shared.
And it’s not just about football.
From praising Andy Reid as “the best to ever do it,” to laughing about teammates demolishing 30 chicken strips during a Dairy Queen shoot, Humphrey painted a picture of a locker room that feels more like family than franchise.
Even Kelce himself jumped into the fun, commenting:
“Dancin’ for DQ?! I’m in on that!!!”
In a year full of heartbreak, Creed Humphrey’s words remind Chiefs Kingdom of something bigger than wins and losses — character never leaves the building.
