Tom Hardy, 48, has reportedly been fired from the hit Paramount+ series MobLand after two seasons, insiders claim. The British actor, known for his role as fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, will not return for the upcoming third season.

Sources say Hardy was involved in repeated clashes with producers during filming, including pushing for line changes and offering unsolicited script notes. Tensions escalated as he expressed frustration over the series focusing more on co-stars Mirren and Brosnan, prompting threats from producer Jez Butterworth to quit.

The actor also faced accusations of lateness, a behaviour that previously caused screaming rows with Charlize Theron while filming Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015. Reports at the time claimed Theron was left “scared s***less” by Hardy’s aggressive demeanour, requiring a female producer to stay with her as protection.

A source close to the MobLand project said: “Hardy was late and pushed to change lines. The clashes with producers made it impossible to continue with him. Paramount decided not to pick him up for season three.”

Hardy himself admitted in hindsight that he had been “in over my head” during past tense moments on set. “The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times. What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me. That’s something that can’t be faked,” he reflected.

The MobLand series follows London crime bosses Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, played by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, battling a rival syndicate threatening their empire. It is not yet clear how Hardy will be written out of the show.

Hardy previously said he planned a sabbatical after filming, citing multiple injuries: two knee surgeries, a herniated disc, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and a pulled tendon in his hip.

Paramount and Hardy declined to comment on the reports, and the Daily Mail has contacted his representatives for further details.
