Tommy Fury is devastated after being forced to leave Molly-Mae Hague and their newborn just hours after she gave birth, flying back to Manchester to continue training for his upcoming fight against retired strongman Eddie Hall on June 13.
The 27-year-old boxer had less than 24 hours to celebrate the arrival of their second child with Molly-Mae before returning to camp via private jet. A source told The Sun:
“He’s absolutely devastated but his fight is less than two weeks away so he knows he has to do it. He needs to focus on his training. Molly is upset too but she’s surrounded by family, so she’s good and she understands why he has to go.”
The couple had welcomed their second child earlier this week, sharing a heartwarming black-and-white snap with daughter Bambi, three, introducing her to her new sibling. Fans immediately began speculating about the newborn’s gender, spotting subtle clues like a folded blue blanket in Molly-Mae’s recent YouTube video. Speculation over the baby’s name has also erupted, with guesses including Miffy, Bunny, Dusk, Dream, and Cloud.
Despite the heartbreak, Tommy and Molly-Mae plan to reunite at their family home in Cheshire in the coming days. Their first child, Bambi, looked overjoyed meeting her new sibling for the first time in the hospital, wearing a Miffy-themed T-shirt in a charming nod to family traditions.
The couple had carefully timed the birth to coincide with Tommy’s training schedule. In a previous YouTube vlog, Molly-Mae explained their decision to be induced:
“We needed a rough understanding of when Bambi was going to arrive so that Tommy could be there for the birth and not miss it before his fight.”
Molly-Mae and Tommy tied the knot in 2023 and recently announced their pregnancy in February. Though they had previously separated in 2024, they rekindled their romance, and this second child marks a new chapter for the family.
