Amanda Holden is marking her 55th birthday in unapologetic style — soaking up the sun in Dubai and setting social media alight with a series of eye-catching bikini snaps that left fans and famous friends stunned.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge whisked herself off to the UAE with husband Chris Hughes, checking into the ultra-luxurious Banyan Tree hotel on Bluewaters Island, where rooms reportedly start at around £1,389 per night.
Giving followers a glimpse of her lavish birthday break, Amanda shared sun-drenched photos from the resort’s pools and beach, confidently modelling a string of chic Melissa Odabash bikinis — including a bold orange two-piece and a fresh mint-green number — cocktail in hand and smile firmly in place.
Captioning the post, she wrote:
“I recently spent a few days celebrating my birthday with family and friends in the beautiful @banyantreedxb… it’s an incredible hotel in the #bluewatersdubai area of Dubai.
“Beautiful resort beach and pools were stunning… (And there was no building work going on!) The hotel itself is super chic and the spa is to die for. Had the most unbelievable room and we were looked after so well. All my bikinis are @melissaodabash!”
‘The Hottest 55-Year-Old’
It didn’t take long for Amanda’s celebrity pals to flood the comments. Heart FM presenter Ashley Roberts declared she was “looking good,” while former The Only Way Is Essex star Jessica Wright summed it up with: “The hottest 55 year old.”
And if anyone’s wondering how she keeps herself in such jaw-dropping shape, Amanda has never pretended it’s effortless — or joyless.
She previously revealed she runs three to four miles a week, practises Kundalini yoga, and follows what she jokingly calls a “Viking workout regime.” But she insists balance is everything.
“I am not a slave to any beauty or fitness regime because I love food too much,” she told TV Times.
“The deal I struck with myself was I have to run for my rosé wine in the summer and run for my red wine in winter.”
‘We Won’t Fade Into The Background’
Amanda has also been refreshingly honest about ageing — and refusing to disappear quietly.
“I’m from a generation of women who won’t fade into the background,” she once laughed.
“We’ll flaunt our bits for as long as we can. Even when they’re drooping down to the floor, I’ll scoop them up again.”
Last year, she admitted that despite posting glamorous bikini snaps, she was enjoying a daily drink with Alan Carr while filming Amanda and Alan’s Greek Job in Corfu — proof she doesn’t deny herself the good things.
“I don’t stop myself from living,” she told the Daily Mail.
“If you can’t tone it, tan it — that’s what I say.”
Birthday Bliss With Family
The Dubai getaway comes after Amanda revealed she’d been treated to a birthday breakfast by Chris, whom she married in 2008 after meeting five years earlier. The couple share daughters Lexi, 20, and Hollie, 14.
From gymnastics in her teens to Peloton confessions and poolside cocktails at 55, Amanda Holden’s message is clear: age is optional, confidence is not — and she’s enjoying every sun-soaked second.
