After 17 years together, Christine Lampard has shared a surprising confession about her marriage to football legend Frank Lampard, including what the couple really argues about behind closed doors!
In a candid interview with OK! magazine, Christine opened up about her relationship with Frank, whom she married in December 2015. The pair share two children, Patricia (7) and Freddie (4), and Christine is also stepmother to Frank’s daughters from a previous relationship, Luna and Isla.
When asked about their time apart due to Frank’s job as manager of Coventry City FC, Christine revealed that although she misses him, “we’ve never known anything else.” She went on to share that despite the challenges, their relationship remains strong and free of major conflict.
“We don’t fight,” Christine explained, “only over silly things, like how Frank can’t wash his hands without it looking like a tsunami has hit. We have a proper laugh — we’re just a strong unit.”
However, when asked about renewing their vows, Christine had a surprising admission. “We were 10 years married in December, though, so we missed the boat. We were too lazy,” she confessed. But she didn’t rule it out for the future, adding, “Do we wait for 20 years? I’d love a big celebration at home, with the kids involved. That would be amazing.”

A Surprising Moment from the Past
Christine also shared a deeply personal insight into her relationship with Frank’s daughters. In a previous interview on Loose Women: Just Between Us podcast, Christine revealed that she didn’t meet Frank’s daughters for the first year of their relationship.
“I was really cautious,” she said. “I didn’t want to step into their lives and then for things to fall apart, leaving them with another new person. It took us a year before I met them because I wanted to be sure we were in it for the long haul.”
Christine’s honesty about her marriage and family life has resonated with fans, proving that after nearly two decades, she and Frank have found a solid foundation built on laughter, understanding, and patience.
