For years, she has stood in the spotlight beside one of the NFL’s biggest superstars.
But now, Brittany Mahomes is being celebrated for something that belongs to her — not her last name, not her marriage, and not the Super Bowls.
The former collegiate soccer standout has officially been named a Hall of Famer at the University of Texas at Tyler, honoring what the school calls “one of the strongest careers in UT Tyler women’s soccer history.”
⚽ A record that speaks for itself
Between 2013 and 2016, Brittany carved out an outstanding college career, scoring 31 goals in 74 appearances — numbers that still resonate within the program years later.
The university confirmed she will be formally inducted on March 28, in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family.
“I’m honored to be inducted,” Mahomes said in a statement.
“My time at UT Tyler played a huge role in shaping my life, my career, and the person I am today.”
❤️ A coach who changed everything
In her remarks, Brittany paid special tribute to her former coach, Stefani Webb, crediting her influence both on and off the pitch.
“I’m especially grateful to Coach Webb,” she said.
“Her belief in me, leadership, and constant support had an incredible impact on my journey.”
She added that UT Tyler will “always hold a special place in my heart.”
🌍 Life after college — and before the NFL spotlight
After graduating, Brittany briefly played professional soccer in Iceland before heading to Europe — a chapter that unfolded just as Patrick Mahomes was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Their paths soon aligned back in the United States, where Patrick’s career skyrocketed — eventually delivering three Super Bowl titles and global fame.
👩👧👦 More than a WAG
Today, Brittany is often described as one of the most high-profile women in the NFL world — a mother of three and a familiar face on the Chiefs’ sidelines.
But her influence goes far beyond that label.
Alongside Patrick, she is a co-owner of NWSL side Kansas City Current, playing a key role in the creation of the world’s first stadium purpose-built for a professional women’s soccer team.
UT Tyler’s director of athletics Sam Ferguson summed it up perfectly:
“Brittany’s outstanding playing career was unmatched. Her career pales only in comparison to the incredible work she has been doing to advance women in sport.”
🏈 Meanwhile, back in Chiefs Kingdom…
As Brittany celebrates her milestone, Patrick continues his own battle — recovering from an ACL tear suffered in December against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.
He underwent surgery the following day and is pushing to be ready for the 2026 NFL season, which kicks off in September.
But this moment?
This one belongs entirely to Brittany.
No touchdowns.
No trophies.
Just recognition — long overdue — for a career that stood tall all on its own. 💫
