After Admitting Past Intimate Deal With Her Boss, Katherine Ryan Fires Back at Critics — and Drops Another Explosive Confession

Katherine Ryan has fired back at critics years after she admitted a shocking story from her younger years — revealing she once performed an intimate act on her boss so she could leave work early.

The 42-year-old comedian first made the revelation to journalist Louis Theroux, 55, in 2022 during his TV series Louis Theroux Interviews.

On Tuesday, Katherine took to Instagram to clarify she was neither “proud” nor “ashamed” of the choices she made as a young adult, and she also shared a clip of herself telling Louis about the arrangement with her boss.

She wrote:

“Based on the reaction to this clip over the last two years, I think people mostly seem confused that I’m neither proud, nor am I shameful of the choices I made in my ‘youth’, as a young adult, when my frontal lobe was still developing.
Culture moves so fast and those of us from what I call ‘the girl band generation’ navigated being objectified and participating in objectifying ourselves. It’s a bit different now.”

The 2022 interview was re-shared on Stream4U this week, and in it, Louis asked Katherine about sleeping with her boss. Katherine confirmed she had once said to her employer:

“If I suck your d**k, can I leave early? Something like that.”

A stunned Louis replied: “You really said that?”, to which Katherine responded: “Yeah. But I liked him. That’s key. He wasn’t just some guy.”

When Louis asked what her boss’s reply was, she said: “He said yes you can. Of course you can. So then I sucked his d**k and I left early.”

She went on to claim that “several” of the girls in the office had the “same arrangement.”

Louis remarked that those in the office who wanted to leave early but didn’t want to engage in the sexual activity were at a disadvantage — “the losers in the transaction,” as he put it. Katherine insisted that the man in question would “never” have made the suggestion himself.

When Louis asked if she has the same viewpoint now or if she would call out her boss for being “totally inappropriate,” Katherine admitted it was “tricky” as she genuinely liked the guy and had a “crush” on him.

“I have never sucked the d**k of anyone I didn’t like… at the time,” she added.

Though she has faced backlash for her comments over the years, recent responses to her latest post showed many fans in support:

  • “The power imbalance was key, he was in the wrong not her. I feel sorry for her, but also recognise she felt empowered to do it.”

  • “She liked him… They were friends. There was consent. She got to leave early. What’s the problem?”

  • “She didn’t have a problem… he didn’t have a problem… where is the problem?”

  • “She doesn’t regret it, it was her idea, she liked him, she got to leave early. Totally normal at the time — it was probably the noughties!”

But this wasn’t the only bombshell from her explosive chat with Louis.

In the same interview, Katherine claimed she had once told a fellow comedian “to his face” that he was a sexual predator — allegations she said were an “open secret.”

The Canadian comic recalled confronting the unnamed man repeatedly while they worked together on a TV show, even in front of a live audience, though the exchanges were later cut from the broadcast.

Katherine said she faced criticism for not naming the man publicly but explained that even mentioning him was “a litigious minefield” as he had “very good lawyers.”

She stressed it was “not my story to tell,” but she believed the accusations because the sources were “very credible.”

The star, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child, said she remains unfazed by the renewed attention and stands by what she said.
