Susanna Reid, the much-loved face of ITV’s Good Morning Britain (GMB), has received an outpouring of support from viewers after explaining her temporary absence from the show. The 55-year-old presenter took to Instagram to share the news, revealing she’s on an Easter break and will be back on Monday, April 13.

Fans flooded the comments section of her post, with one follower wishing her, “Have a lovely Easter break!” and another adding, “Absolutely stunning, have a great time off.” Susanna’s Instagram post showed a photo of herself in the studio, expressing her excitement for the short time away, with many viewers appreciating her candidness.

In the meantime, GMB was fronted by Loose Women star Kate Garraway and anchor Paul Brand. Despite having decades of experience in the industry, Kate and Ranvir Singh came under fire from viewers who expressed frustration over their “ruinous” habits, particularly the issue of interrupting guests during discussions.

Some viewers took to social media, calling out Ranvir’s habit of speaking over her co-presenters. One viewer complained, “First time I’ve tuned in to your programme in a long time, and all that woman does is interrupt and talk over people when they’re making their point!” Other comments echoed similar frustrations, with one writing, “This was ruined for me because Kate Garraway had some interesting points mirroring mine, but Ranvir keeps talking over her.”

While the tension between Kate and Ranvir has been noted by fans before, the pair continue to be central figures in morning TV, having joined the Good Morning Britain team in 2014. Kate’s long-standing experience as a presenter and Ranvir’s distinct style have created a dynamic, though not always harmonious, partnership.

However, despite the critics, Kate and Ranvir have had their share of supporters, and they’ve certainly left an impact on the GMB audience. But for now, fans will have to wait until Susanna returns to see if she’ll reclaim her seat next to Ed Balls or if new dynamics will continue to unfold in her absence.
