Christine McGuinness, the ex-wife of TV presenter Paddy McGuinness, has made a jaw-dropping revelation – she’s actively looking for “a wife” three years after their divorce! In a candid interview on the LGBTQ+ podcast It Started With A Kiss, Christine, 38, laid bare her personal life, speaking openly about her sexuality, love life, and her passion for Japanese bondage.

She boldly described herself as a “five-star lesbian,” admitting she has explored both men and women in the past. Her openness about her sexual preferences has taken fans by surprise, but it’s her desire for a “wife” that’s truly turning heads.

“I would love to have a wife one day, not in the legalised marriage sense, but just a celebration of love,” Christine shared with hosts Amy Spalding and Gareth Valentino. “I want to be able to say, ‘This is my wife.’”

Christine, a mother-of-three, also talked about her double life – a life she says she loves, but one that can sometimes cause problems with her relationships. She described how she keeps her personal life separate, balancing her home life with her work in London.
But, as with all things, the blissful solitude has its challenges. “When I meet someone, they always want to know when they’re going to meet the kids, or ‘Are we doing this forever?’ I’ve already told them this isn’t going to change anytime soon,” she admitted.
Reflecting on her divorce from Paddy, Christine revealed that while they co-parent their three children amicably, she’s absolutely clear about not wanting more children. “A lot of women I meet want kids, but I’ve already had them,” she explained. “And I make that known from the start.”
But the revelations didn’t stop there. Christine got deeply personal, revealing her involvement in adult content and discussing her love for Shibari, a form of Japanese rope bondage. She expressed how it’s more about trust and emotional connection, rather than just the sexual aspect.
On top of this, Christine shared insights into her dating life, including how she approaches relationships. “For me, a situationship is when you’re dating but not in a relationship,” she explained, noting that she prefers to take things slow with those outside the industry.
Despite her bold honesty, Christine also admitted that dating as a neurodivergent person has its unique set of challenges, leaving her feeling overwhelmed at times. “I cancelled loads of dates at first because I wasn’t sure about how things would go,” she shared.
The podcast episode offered an intimate and candid look into Christine’s world after her split from Paddy – a world where she’s discovering new aspects of her sexuality, her needs, and her love life.
Will Christine McGuinness find the wife she’s looking for? Or will she continue to navigate the complexities of dating as a woman with a rich, unpredictable love life? Only time will tell…
