Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller has left fans doing a double take after unveiling a striking new look following his impressive weight loss transformation.
The 35-year-old actor, best known for playing Aaron Dingle in the long-running ITV soap, took to Instagram to share powerful before-and-after photos showing just how much his appearance has changed.
In the side-by-side images, Danny is first seen with a fuller face and a beard, while the second photo reveals a noticeably slimmer, clean-shaven version of the star with a sharper jawline and a healthier, more energetic appearance.
Fans were quick to notice the difference — and so did Danny himself.
Alongside the images, he opened up candidly about his journey, writing that it was only when looking back at old photos that he realised how much had changed.
He explained that at the time he often felt “run down, tired and constantly putting myself at the bottom of the priority list,” admitting that he was so focused on family responsibilities that he neglected his own wellbeing.
Danny added that learning to prioritise himself was key, saying he had to become “the best Danny” in order to be the best husband and father he could be.
He continued: “The photo on the right isn’t about being perfect. It’s about feeling healthier, happier and having more energy for the people who matter most. Still a work in progress, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.”
The emotional post quickly drew praise from friends and co-stars, with many rushing to the comments to show their support.
Toni Laites wrote: “SKINNY LEGEND!!!!” while Brooke Vincent cheered him on with an enthusiastic message of support. Lisa Riley added: “Crazy proud,” as Jill Scott and Jason Manford also sent compliments, praising his transformation and positive mindset.
Danny’s health journey comes shortly after he celebrated one year of sobriety, marking a major personal milestone. In an emotional message shared with fans, he revealed that giving up alcohol had completely changed his outlook on life, saying it was a decision made for his family and wellbeing.
He also recently shared that he and his wife Steph welcomed their third child last year — a baby boy named Vincent, named in honour of his father, Vince.
Away from the screen, Danny has also been open about his father’s ongoing battle with dementia, regularly updating fans and expressing gratitude for family support during a difficult period.
The actor, who continues to star as Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale, shares three children with Steph: Albert, Edith, and baby Vincent.
