Bradley Walsh Reveals Health Wake-Up Call: ‘My Heart Specialist Told Me I Need to Get Fit’

TV favourite Bradley Walsh, 65, has candidly revealed his health struggles, admitting staying fit as he gets older is “much harder” but he’s determined to push through. The Blankety Blank and The Chase star shared his goals in a recent interview, saying: “I want to get slimmer and fitter. As you get older, it’s much harder, but I really want to get fitter.”Bradley Walsh on The One Show

Bradley has enlisted help from the Gladiators team, who have given him diet and exercise tips. He’s now working with a personal trainer and cutting back on bread, cakes, and potatoes – though he’s keeping a little Haribo and chocolate as treats. He admits: “You can’t give up everything. Balance is key.”

The TV icon has also spoken about the lasting impact of his father’s early death from heart disease at 59. Bradley explained: “I always felt like I just had to get past my dad’s age. Turning 60 was a real milestone.” He even called himself a “time bomb” before making lifestyle changes, adding: “I produce too much cholesterol, it’s a silent killer.
