Molly-Mae Hague Opens Up About Emotional Postpartum Reality After Welcoming Baby Son Midas: “I Am a Different Person”

Just weeks after welcoming her second child, Molly-Mae Hague is giving fans an unfiltered look at the realities of life as a new mum—and her honest confession is resonating with parents everywhere.
The former Love Island star, 27, admitted that the exhaustion of early motherhood has left her feeling like “a different person,” as she adjusts to life with newborn son Midas alongside fiancé Tommy Fury and their three-year-old daughter, Bambi.
Molly-Mae Shares Her Most Honest Postpartum Update Yet
In a new YouTube vlog titled A Realistic Week with Me Postpartum, Molly-Mae appeared makeup-free and dressed in pyjamas while speaking candidly from her bedroom about the challenges she’s facing behind the scenes.
Rather than focusing on picture-perfect family moments, she opened up about the mental fog that has followed Midas’ arrival.

“All I can say is, my brain is absolutely not working properly.”

The influencer explained that while many women talk about “baby brain” during pregnancy, she finds the experience after giving birth to be far more intense.Molly-Mae Hague speaking on YouTube vlog
“When I’m Tired, I’m a Different Person”
Reflecting on both of her postpartum journeys, Molly-Mae revealed that the same symptoms appeared after Bambi was born.
She said extreme tiredness affects the way she thinks and even the way she speaks.

“When I am tired, I am a different person.”

“I talk differently. I can’t string a sentence together. I just keep saying ‘um, um, um’ because I can’t get my words out quickly enough.”

She added that everything feels slower and less natural when she’s running on little sleep.

“It doesn’t flow, basically.”

Why Sleep Has Become Her Biggest Priority
Because of those experiences, Molly-Mae says she’s already working hard to establish a healthy routine for baby Midas.
She hopes he will eventually become as good a sleeper as his older sister Bambi, although she acknowledges that building those habits takes time.

“That is why I am already working as hard as I can to get my boy into a routine.”

She added that creating consistent sleep habits requires patience, perseverance and a solid routine for the whole family.
Adjusting to Life as a Family of Four
Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury, who met on Love Island in 2019, welcomed son Midas on June 3, making Bambi a big sister.
Since then, the couple have shared occasional glimpses into their new family life, balancing emotional moments with plenty of humour.
Recently, Molly-Mae amused fans by posting photos of Tommy trying on her high heels during what she jokingly described as a “delusional” midnight feed.
She also shared a tender picture while feeding Midas, writing:

“If you don’t laugh, you’ll certainly cry.”

Another heartwarming snap showed proud big sister Bambi cuddling up to Tommy while peeking at her baby brother—a sweet reminder that despite the sleepless nights, the family is embracing every precious moment together.
As Molly-Mae continues documenting the highs and lows of postpartum life, many fans have praised her for showing a more realistic side of motherhood, reminding other parents that exhaustion, brain fog and emotional ups and downs are all part of the journey.
