Katie Price has opened up about her marriage to Lee Andrews in one of her most revealing interviews yet, insisting that their relationship is unlike any she has experienced before.
Speaking ahead of her new Sky documentary series, the former glamour model said she no longer feels the need to rely on a partner, describing her marriage as the healthiest and most balanced relationship of her life.
“I Don’t Need Lee—I Want Him”
Reflecting on her personal growth, Katie explained that her relationship with Lee is built on choice rather than dependence.

Katie Price has insisted that her marriage to husband Lee Andrews is the ‘healthiest’ relationship she’s ever been in and has said she loves him as he has his own money and isn’t ‘in and out of her pockets’
Katie married supposed Dubai-based businessman earlier this year after a whirlwind one-week romance. Since he has been arrested and imprisoned for fraud
“I don’t need Lee, I want Lee,” she said, adding that the difference has transformed the way she approaches love.
She praised her husband for being independent, mature and financially secure, saying she appreciates that he has his own career and ambitions instead of relying on her.
According to Katie, many of her previous relationships eventually became emotionally draining.
“I’m used to men who lose their drive and end up becoming my sixth child,” she admitted, explaining that Lee is different because he treats her as a person rather than a celebrity.
A Different Chapter After Years of Heartbreak
The TV personality, who has been married four times and engaged nine times, said relationship therapy completely changed her outlook on love.
Katie was chatting on Josh Smith’s Great Chat Show podcast ahead of her new Sky docuseries which documents her tumultuous life and series of romances – including with Gareth Gates
She told host Josh: ‘I know you’re not going to think it, but the one I’m in now is the healthiest relationship I’ve been in. I don’t need Lee, I want Lee, and there’s a massive difference’
Katie revealed she spent two years learning to recognize red flags after experiencing what she described as toxic, controlling and abusive relationships throughout much of her adult life.
She now believes that finding happiness starts with being comfortable on her own.
“These days I don’t need a man. If I’m with someone, it’s because I genuinely want them in my life.”
Standing By Lee Through Difficult Times
Katie’s comments come after a turbulent year for the couple.
Lee Andrews, whom she married after a whirlwind romance earlier this year, has faced serious legal issues in Dubai. Despite the challenges and public scrutiny surrounding their relationship, Katie has remained firmly by his side, insisting their bond has only grown stronger.
Katie Looks Back on Gareth Gates With Regret
The interview also saw Katie reflect on one of the most talked-about romances of her past—her brief relationship with pop star Gareth Gates.
The pair’s early-2000s romance is revisited in her upcoming documentary, with Gareth agreeing to speak publicly about their relationship for the first time.
Katie admitted she was shocked to learn he had taken part and confessed that watching the documentary brought back difficult memories.
She revealed she finally discovered why Gareth suddenly disappeared from her life more than two decades ago, calling the story “really sad.”
Looking back, Katie said she regrets publicly revealing intimate details about their relationship at the time.
“I wish I’d never sold that story,” she admitted. “I’d love to sit down with Gareth now and simply say I’m sorry.”
A Story of Growth and Second Chances
As Katie prepares to share more of her life in the new documentary series, she says the biggest lesson she has learned is that healthy relationships begin with self-worth.
After years of turbulent romances, public breakups and personal struggles, she believes she has finally found a partnership built on respect, independence and mutual support—a chapter she hopes will last.
