A D.E.A.D.L.Y FAMILY SECRET UNEARTHED: THE SICKENING TRUE IDENTITY OF WEATHERFIELD’S NEWEST ROMEO EXPOSED!

Coronation Street‘s Idris Nazir is set to come clean to his cousin Alya next week. Idris arrived on the cobbles a few weeks ago, and has already started a romance with Leanne Battersby.

However, Idris hasn’t endeared himself to everyone in Weatherfield, with the newcomer currently being sued by his tenant, Abi Webster, after her son Alfie got sick from mould in their apartment.

In next week’s scenes on the ITV soap, Leanne will complain to Idris that Speed Daal co-owner Alya spends too much time on legal work. This leads him to offer to buy her share of the restaurant.

But it’s not the only shock Idris has in store for her, as a teaser clip – which can be viewed below – depicts a scene where he confronts his cousin and tells her that he wants to “put all the cards on the table”.

Idris shares he didn’t attend her father’s funeral because he wasn’t sure he’d be welcome, though this leaves Alya confused. When Idris realises that she is none the wiser, he says: “I’m surprised Yasmeen never told you the truth.”

He goes on to explain that their grandfather Sharif wasn’t who his wife Yasmeen thought he was, before he tells Alya: “I’m not who you think I am cuz.”

Our Corrie insider previously teased details of the storyline, sharing: “Idris and Alya have an important chat and more is revealed than Alya could have ever imagined. Fans will have to tune in to find out more, but there’s definitely more to discover about the Nazir family.”

Video posterNext week will also see Sam Blakeman confide in Idris following his return to the street, with our source teasing: “Sam tells Idris about his fears that people think he’s mentally unstable, and Idris opens up to Sam about his own memories of teenage anxiety.”

“Afterwards, Sam tells his dad Nick that he feels much better – but Idris has bigger fish to fry…” they continued, but it remains to be seen what secret Idris is hiding.
